Yoonkyeong Lee

Welcome to my homepage!

I am Yoon, a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Texas A&M University.

I was born and raised in Incheon, South Korea, and earned both my B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from Ewha Womans University. During my master’s studies, I worked in operator theory under the supervision of Dr. Eungil Ko. Building on this foundation, I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Michigan State University advised by Dr. Brent Nelson. My research interests include operator algebras, and free probability.

Outside of mathematics, I enjoy balancing research with hobbies such as yoga, playing the piano, and hitting the golf driving range. My current favorite piece to play on the piano is Luv Letter by DJ Okawari!
