A MATHEMATICIAN
Welcome to my homepage!
I am Yoon, a Ph.D. candidate in Mathematics at Michigan State University.
I was born and raised in Incheon, South Korea, and hold both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics from Ewha Womans University. During my Master’s program, I focused on Operator Theory under the guidance of Dr. Eungil Ko. Building on this foundation, I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at MSU, where my research is centered around von Neumann algebras and free probability, advised by Dr. Brent Nelson.
Outside of academia, I enjoy balancing my pursuits with hobbies like yoga, playing the piano and hitting the golf driving range. My favorite song to play at the moment is Flower Dance by DJ Okawari!
